Strawberry Limeade
An easy four-ingredient strawberry limeade recipe that’s perfect for spring or summer!
When I was a teenager I had a serious obsession with Sonic. I kind of cringe admitting it now, but I loved to eat there all the time. I was a huge fan of their mozzarella sticks (which I’ve made a healthier version of here!) and their limeades. The strawberry and cherry limeade were my favorite drinks to get there too.
While this strawberry limeade isn’t quite like their version, it is still ridiculously good. Did I mention it’s also easy too? I think the hardest part of making this recipe is cutting the strawberries or squeezing the lime juice.
You’ll start with fresh strawberries. Simply slice up two cups of strawberries and squeeze some lime juice. I used about four limes for this recipe, but depending on the size that you use you may need more or less. Also, if you have a nice spouse you can convince them to squeeze the lime juice for you. Yes?
Once that’s done, just blend the strawberries and lime juice together. Add some water and sugar and you’re done!
I actually thought this strawberry limeade tasted a little bit better after refrigerating it for about an hour. But don’t worry, it’s still delicious if you drink it right away. I tried both ways for quality control purposes. Someone has to do it, right?
This is also a great drink to make ahead of time and just refrigerate until your ready to serve! Enjoy!

I love Sonic too when I was younger! I actually still go there every once in a while, but usually just for their milkshakes! 🙂 This limeade looks delicious! I love the pretty colors and flavor combination. Sounds perfect for this rainy Thursday. Pinned!
We go there sometimes for their ice cream still! Thanks, Gayle 🙂
Only four ingredients in these gorgeous sippers?! I am SO onboard! Limeade is one of my favorite summer drinks and I love your twist of throwing strawberries into the mix too! (plus I’m loving the fact that we both posted strawberry drinks today!!) Can’t wait to try this limeade, Danielle!

Easy and fresh! I’m sorry I never tried the Sonic version, but yours looks great.
The mozzarella sticks at Sonic and Arbys were a common after school snack for me as well as a kid. This seems like a great drink to make for a NEW get together or party of any sort with friends!
Definitely! I’m planning to make this again the next time we have friends over 🙂
Anytime I drive by Sonic, I always stop and get a drink. Because I am obsessed with their ice! It’s like little snow nuggets. Yum! This strawberry limeade sounds so delicious and refreshing. Happy it’s strawberry season!
Their ice is really good, you can buy it by the bags here!
I am succcch a sucker for strawberry lemonade! There is just something about that sweet and tangy combo that gets me every time!
This drink is gorgeous and I want one now! I loved that it has lime juice in it — can’t wait to try this!
Hope you enjoy it, Marcie!
This is the prettiest strawberry limeade! I love the color and it sounds so so refreshing! A big tall glass sounds perfect right now!
Confession: I loved Sonic too….and consequently still do lol I don’t care how many calories or red dye #52 are in that cherry limeade, its so good! But your strawberry limeade looks even better! Such a refreshing spring treat! Pinned!
I still go there from time to time too! Thanks, Mariah 🙂
We didn’t have a Sonic in my area until about four years ago. Whenever I would visit my sister at her college in Delaware, we would always make special trips to Sonic and Wawa. 🙂 This limeade looks delightful. A perfect drink on a spring day.
We didn’t get one until I was a senior in high school, I guess I was making up for lost time! I’ve never been to a Wawa before, but I bet I’d love it too 😉
Love the fresh strawberry recipes I am seeing this morning! This limeade looks perfect Danielle! I love Sonic, but there isn’t one close to my house 🙂 Need to make this gorgeous drink soon!
I made homemade strawberry lemonade last summer and it was delicious! This looks divine and like the perfect drink to cool down with! 😀
This looks absolutely fabulous for summertime, and one of my favorite go-to drinks! It actually makes my mouth-water just thinking about it. You just gave me a mini-vacation!
This lemonade looks so refreshing and I love how simple it is to throw together. I love sonic too. I love their tater tot fries, hehe. Can’t eat them to much though but now I’m totally craving them. Gonna make this soon. Pinned! 😉
Oh same here, Cyndi! Their onion rings are amazing too! Hope you enjoy the recipe if you get a chance to try it 🙂
I so prefer limes over lemons, although they are both favorites, so this limeade sounds scrumptious to me!
It is finally getting nice enough here to sit out on the deck and enjoy some of this deliciousness! Love!
Sounds like a great idea to me, Senika!
Oooh, this is fantastic!! My favorite drink!
I love this recipe. So pretty and refreshing! This will be popular on the patio this summer! Thanks, Danielle!
Wish I had one of these strawberry limeade’s (and some hot weather) right now.. they look delicious and so refreshing.
Wow this looks wonderful and so refreshing! I wish we had a sonic close too us!
This looks gorgeous, and delicious! I’m tempted to make a big pitcher of this limeade and sip it all weekend long. I can’t wait to try it!
How come you don’t have to make a simple syrup first with this recipe but you do with the
Blackberry lemonade recipe.
Hi Cyndi! I was just trying something a bit different with each recipe. Simple syrup does help to dissolve your sugar better for a cold drink, so you can definitely use it in this recipe if you prefer! I have tried the lemonade like this recipe, just mixing the ingredients together, and it works fine too. Just adjust the sugar to taste 🙂
Refreshing and absolutely delicious with the fresh squeezed limes. For a party, I substituted the lime juice with minute maid limeade, reduce the sugar and it was still a hit…couldn’t keep the bowl full. Thank you for sharing.
So glad to hear you enjoyed the recipe, Yolanda! 🙂
