West Lake Houston Parkway Road Construction to Begin 12/06/21

Pro Tem Mayor Dave Martin wishes to inform residents of Kingwood of a proposed Houston Public Works Sign replacement.

Houston Public Works will begin replacing signs on West Lake Houston Parkway beginning Monday 6/12/21 (weather permitting). The project involves replacing damaged concrete panels along the north and south lanes of W Lake Houston Parkway from Kingwood Drive to Magnolia Cove Drive. The cost of the project is $38,200 and is funded by Mayor’s Council Pro Tem Martin District Service Funds.

Work will begin Monday 6/12/21 (weather permitting) and the project is expected to be completed by Monday 27/12/21. Construction activities are expected to take place Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Due to construction activities, please be aware of flaggers and orange traffic cones that will be in place to facilitate traffic in the construction area, as the project may require a lane closure. Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times. Businesses and residents will have access to driveways and sidewalks at all times and may experience increased noise levels from trucks and equipment in the area.

For more information, please contact Mayor Pro Tem Dave Martin’s office at (832) 393-3008 or districte@houstontx.gov.
