FRAMINGHAM – This is where motorists may encounter construction work in the town of Framingham this week of May 30, 2022.

Construction may include City of Framingham works, MassDOT projects, gas or water pipe work or other utility work, as well as paving.

Work is weather dependent and times may change.

Buckminster Street Gas Main Replacement: Eversource Gas will continue to replace main and service gas lines on Buckminster Street. The road will be closed to traffic and a detour will be in effect. Please look for an alternate route.

Bonvini Parkway Road and Sidewalk Improvements: Work on the sidewalk continues and the contractor will prepare the final paving. Expect minor impacts at times.

Carlson Road Water, Sewer and Pavement Improvements
: Points list items. Occasionally expect minor delays.

Danforth Street Watermain Works: The Water Division will be carrying out repairs to the water main on Tuesday May 31st and Wednesday June 1st at the intersection of Danforth Street and Meadow Street. Travel east only on Danforth Street. Westbound traffic on Danforth Street will be detoured.

Edmands Road Gas Main Replacement » Eversource Gas will continue to replace gas and service mains on Edmands Road between Edgell and Garvey Roads. Expect moderate to significant delays. Southbound traffic from Edmands Road will be diverted to Genardy Way, Livoli Road and McAdams Road.

Improvements to Harmony Lane and sidewalks: Work on the sidewalk continues and the contractor will prepare the final paving. Expect minor impacts at times.

Improvements to Loring Drive and Western Avenue: The sidewalk work will begin. Expect minor impacts at times.

Nobscot Intersection Improvements: Install sidewalks and curbs on Water Street. Overhead cables will continue to be moved. Expect moderate delays. A lane change or alternating one-way traffic pattern will be in effect. Sometimes traffic will be diverted through CVS Square.

Routes 9 and 126 Drainage Project – MassDOT: Drainage work will be carried out overnight, Tuesday through Thursday, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Worcester Road/Rt. 9 East and West.

The Rt. off-ramp from southbound 126 to eastbound Route 9 will be closed Tuesday evening, May 31 through Wednesday morning, June 1. Southbound traffic on Route 126 will be diverted to the Concord Street ramp.

The Rt. 9 eastbound off-ramp to southbound Route 126 will be closed Wednesday evening through Thursday morning, June 1-2. Eastbound traffic on Rt. 9 will be diverted to the Concord Street exit ramp.

Routes 9 and 126 drainage project, relocation of the gas line: Gas pipeline work continues. Expect minor to moderate impacts.



Union Avenue Pavement Improvements – MassDOT: The MassDOT contractor will begin removing the existing pavement on the road. Construction will take place on Union Avenue between Main Street and the Sudbury River Bridge, Tuesday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. A detour will be in effect during working hours. Southbound traffic on Union Avenue will be diverted to Franklin Street. Travel north only on Union Avenue.

Wood Terrace Pavement and Sidewalk Improvements: The sidewalk work will begin. Expect minor impacts at times.
