FRAMINGHAM – Here’s where motorists may encounter construction work in the town of Framingham this week of June 5, 2022

Construction may include City of Framingham works, MassDOT projects, gas or water pipe work or other utility work, as well as paving.

Work is weather dependent and times may change.

Buckminster Street Gas Main Replacement: Eversource Gas will continue to replace main and service gas lines on Buckminster Street. The road will be closed to traffic and a detour will be in effect. Please look for an alternate route.

Bonvini Parkway Road and Sidewalk Improvements: Prepare for the final paving. Expect minor impacts at times.

Carlson Road Water, Sewer and Pavement Improvements“Punched List Items. Occasionally expect minor delays.

Edgell Road Water Pumping Station : The site of the pumping station will be temporarily asphalted on Monday June 6th. Due to the nature of paving operations, some on-street interruptions are possible. A one-way alternating traffic pattern may be in effect on Edgell Road between Frost Street and Scott Drive during paving. Expect minor to moderate impacts at times.

Edmands Road Gas Main Line Replacement: Eversource Gas will continue to replace gas and service mains on Edmands Road between Edgell and Garvey Roads. Expect moderate to significant delays. Southbound traffic from Edmands Road will be diverted to Genardy Way, Livoli Road and McAdams Road.

Improvements to Harmony Lane and sidewalks:Prepare for final paving. Expect minor impacts at times.

Improvements to Loring Drive and Western Avenue: Sidewalk work continues. Expect minor impacts at times.

Nobscot Intersection Improvements » Install sidewalks and curbs on Water Street. Overhead cables will continue to be moved. Expect moderate delays. A lane change or alternating one-way traffic pattern will be in effect. Sometimes traffic will be diverted through CVS Square.

Old Connecticut Road Road Improvements: Utility castings will be adjusted. At times, a lane change will be in effect. Expect minor impacts.

Highway 9/126 Drainage Project – MassDOT: Drainage work will be carried out overnight, Sunday through Thursday, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Worcester Road/Rt. 9 East and West. Expect moderate impacts. A lane change or lane closure will be in effect.

Route 9.126 Drainage Project, Gas Line Relocation: Gas pipeline work continues. Expect minor to moderate impacts.



Union Avenue Roadway Improvements: The MassDOT contractor will continue to remove the existing pavement on the road. Work will take place on Union Avenue between Main Street and the Sudbury River Bridge, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. A detour will be in effect during working hours. Southbound traffic on Union Avenue will be diverted to Franklin Street. Travel north only on Union Avenue. Please look for an alternate route. Expect delays.

Wood Terrace Pavement and Sidewalk Improvements: Sidewalk work continues and the road will be prepared for final paving. Expect minor impacts at times.
