THE € 290,000 roundabout at the intersection of Avenida de l’Albir and Camino Vell d’Altea (CV-753) is almost complete.
“Once the paving is finished and the road signs are in place, the road can reopen to traffic in a matter of days,” Urban Development Advisor Toni Such said on December 28.
Along with the roundabout itself, the contractors have installed a new storm drain under the two CV-753 lanes at this point, Such said.
“This roundabout will improve traffic conditions and road safety at a place where a busy shopping area joins the Old Altea road which is very busy with drivers heading towards Benidorm,” added the adviser.
