Traffic lanes are reduced on Murrieta Road north of Newport Road for an EMWD pipeline project. (Staff photo)

MENIFEE — The City has project and construction updates to share with the community:

Murrieta Road – Near Salt Creek

Work for EMWD’s Murrieta Road transmission pipeline project continues and is currently active on Murrieta Road between Lazy Creek Road and Newport Road. Please visit www.emwd.org/MurrietaRoad for more information.

McCall Boulevard – Encanto Road and Oakhurst Avenue – Resurfacing Project

Resurfacing work will begin Jan. 10 on McCall Boulevard between Encanto Road and Oakhurst Avenue. Construction activities will occur in the eastbound and westbound lanes on McCall. Daily westbound roadwork will have a delayed start time of 8:30 a.m. daily to reduce impacts on school traffic.

Palomar Road to Matthews Road (Case Road) – Storm Drain Upgrades

Matthews Road (Case Road) has been completed and the roadway reopened. Palomar Road remains closed until further notice.

Goetz Road – North of South Canyon Drive – SCE Utility Burial Project

No updates.

Rockport Ranch – Updated Material Import Route

Lennar continues its material import operations along Antelope Road, Garbani Road, Holland Road and Briggs Road for the Rockport Ranch development. The transport schedule, including journey times and reduced days on Holland Road, is as follows:

Antelope Road / Garbani Road / Briggs Road: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Holland Road: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Transportation on Holland Road was eliminated on Wednesdays to ease traffic congestion related to minimum day school hours in the area.

Scott Road/Leon Road – Intersection Improvements

Intersection improvements are still in progress at the intersection of Scott Road and Leon Road. Traffic control is in place for daytime work and will remain so until further notice. Traffic lanes are available in all directions as the work progresses. This project is a joint effort between Riverside County, Perris Union School District and the Town of Menifee.
