Srinagar- Three workers were injured in a landslide during the construction of a road in the Baramulla district of northern Kashmir on Wednesday, officials said.

The landslide occurred while the excavation of a slope for the construction of a road by the Beacon authorities was underway in the village of Dara Gutliyan Uri, they said. The injured were immediately transferred to the MI Room Beacon from where they were referred to the Uri sub-district hospital for specialist treatment, officials said, according to the GNS news agency.

The official identified those injured as Khadim Hussain son of Mohammed Shah, Razaq Bhatti son of Ahmed Ali Bhatti and Ajiz Ahmed son of Mutwali Bhati, all residents of Dara Gutliyan Uri village.
